The featured speaker was Mr. Robert Reymond, a Tax Partner, from the London office of Stikeman Elliott LLP, a leading Canadian law firm. He explored wealth planning for Latin American High Net Worth families, and the value proposition of Barbados in this context. Barbados has an extensive network of double taxation treaties, including with countries such as Mexico and Panama. As the country seeks new opportunities for economic growth (as evidenced by various LatAm Missions hosted by the government), the extent to which Barbados could represent a structuring opportunity for Latin American High Net Worth families was an important topic to be explored.
